Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve high client satisfaction by managing the placement, renewal, and servicing Financial Lines reinsurance contracts.
  • Assess customer needs to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Provide prompt, personalized, and professional service to clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities contributing to continuous growth and expansion of the Financial Lines reinsurance portfolio along targeted prospects and existing clients.
  • Negotiate and follow-up with reinsurers to obtain the best commission fees, competitive terms, and conditions and block market capacity.
  • Read and analyze balance sheets and financial statements to assess the financial health of clients and make informed recommendations.
  • Evaluate the profitability and risk of reinsurance contracts.
  • Liaise with clients and markets for day-to-day account queries.
  • Participate and assist in new facultative broking production and placing new business in the Financial Lines Department.
  • Prepare reinsurance slips and endorsements related to accounts as per our internal systems and files ensuring operational efficiency and compliance adherence.
  • Stay informed about industry trends in insurance and reinsurance markets.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess financial performance.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in reinsurance broking, account management, or a related role within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  •  Background in broking/underwriting in Financial Lines.
