Facultative Account Executive

Role Purpose

Swan Re is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join our growing team. The role involves advising clients on facultative reinsurance solutions, managing placements with international reinsurers, and supporting the growth of our portfolio across multiple lines of business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and reinsurers to support long-term partnerships and business growth.
  • Manage the placement, renewal, and servicing of facultative reinsurance contracts across assigned lines of business.
  • Analyze client risk exposures and design tailored facultative reinsurance solutions aligned with their risk management strategies.
  • Prepare and present reinsurance submissions and proposals to reinsurers, negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Evaluate market capacity, pricing, and coverage structures to secure optimal reinsurance solutions for clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cross-selling potential to support portfolio growth.
  • Monitor market trends, capacity developments, and regulatory changes impacting facultative placements.
  • Maintain accurate records of placements, negotiations, and contracts in internal systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including technical, claims, accounting, and compliance to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct technical and underwriting analysis of submitted risks to ensure alignment with market agreements and internal standards.

Job Requirements and Education Qualifications

Skills and Experience for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or Insurance equivalent in a similar field
  • 0-3 years of experience in reinsurance broking, account management, or a related role within the insurance or reinsurance industry.
  • Strong business acumen, emphasizing a customer-centric approach and a dedication to achieving results through hard work and commitment.
  • Attention to details paired with effective communication skills, strong analytical skills and  negotiation skills.
